BCC E-mail Lists

Bonneville Cycle Club has an emailing list, called Ride Calendar.

The Ride Calendar email list is used to discuss and/or broadcast news of rides, events, and announcements to the Bonneville Cycling Club. This is how ride leaders can cancel rides, how the BCC Road Captain makes announcemnets, or how anyone who subscribes to the list can make a comment or pass along a message.

What is an E-mail List?

An E-mail list is an electronic device that enables you to send e-mail to a group of people by typing in one address instead of the address of everyone in the group (talk about a time saver). It is a convenient way to send e-mail to others who share a common interest - in our case the interest in bicycling. It is a tool for the exchange of ideas and information about cycling and cycling related activities.

How does it work?

You send an email message to the mailing list and your message is then forwarded to everyone who is a member of the list.

How do I become a member of the lists?

To sign up for the Ride Calender email list click the subscribe button below. You will be forwarded to another page hosted by Xmission.com Once there, enter your email address, your name and a password. Be sure to remember your password as you may want to use it to edit your preferences and unsubscribe to the list later. After you have done this click the subscribe button. An email will then be sent to the email address you used to subscribe. YOU NEED TO RESPOND TO THAT EMAIL to confirm that you do indeed wish to subscribe to the Ride Calender email list. Once you have confirmed your subscription to the Ride Calender email list you will begin recieving emails as people post them to the Ride Calender email list.

How do I unsubscribe from the list or edit my settings?

To unsubscribe from the list click the subscribe button and go the the bottom of the page and enter your email address and click the unsubscribe button. You can also edit your settings with this button.

When can I start using the list?

You can begin to use it immediately after you get your "subscription" confirmation.

Why would I want to use the list?

  • Organize an impromptu ride
  • Ask members to recommend an orthopedist who specializes in bicycle related ailments
  • Ask the members where to buy that exotic bike tool that you need to repair your antique bike
  • Ask for an opinion about that commercial tour that you always wanted to ride

How do I use the list?

To post to the list, send your email to:
Ride Calendar: mailinglist@bccutah.org .

If you don't want these emails, but are interested in their content, you can join the list and then set you preferences to not receive email. You can then view the emails like a bulletin board by going to the following site:
