Questions, Questions, Questions…
Q1: How do I register for the 2010 Little Red Riding Hood (LRRH)?
A1: Go to the “Registration” Tab where there is additional information and a link to the Active.com web site or log in to Active.com and search for the LRRH event in June 2010. There will be no MAIL-IN or DAY-OF registration for the 2010 LRRH ride. To go directly to Active.com, CLICK HERE
Q2: How much is the registration fee per rider for the Little Red Riding Hood?
A2 : $55.00 per rider if registered on or before May 1st. After May 1st the registration fee is $75.00 per rider. (Remember if you are riding a tandem, both riders must register)
Q3: How much is the registration fee for children?
A3 : Children six and above must pay the full registration fee. BBC strongly discourages children under 5 from participating in the ride, especially if the child is in a carrier, it still poses a risk.
Q4: When does registration close?
A4: When rider cap of 3,000 is met or May 28th, whichever occurs first. THE RIDE WILL MEET CAPACITY WELL BEFORE THE EVENT DATE. PLEASE REGISTER EARLY SO YOU ARE NOT DISAPPOINTED.
Q5: Are there quantity, or multiple family member discounts?
A5: No. There are no quantity or family member discounts
Q6: Will there be a waiting list after the ride is full?
A6: No official waiting list will be available. You may want to blog on the website if you are interested in finding someone who cannot make the ride, or otherwise wishes to sell their registration.
Q7: If I cannot attend the ride after paying Active.com, can I get a refund?
A7: Absolutely no refunds will be given for the ride, meals or merchandise.
Q8: Can I change my ride distance after I have registered on Active.com?
A8: Yes. You can adjust your ride distance at the time of packet pick-up. The distance is very important to the LRRH committee; it is what is used to designate your start-time, and to gauge rest-stops, lunches, supplies and water support.
NOTE: The LRRH Committee wants you to have a great experience, if you choose to change your distance after you start your ride, please ensure that you are familiar with the route and know where your rest-stop opportunities will be. There have been instances where ladies haven’t factored this in to their distance change, and have missed their nutritional and water stops, and in some cases lunch.
Q9: Can I sell my registration if I cannot make the ride?
A9: Yes. You can sell your registration. After you make financial arrangements, supply a note of transfer to the purchaser i.e., e-mail, written note, etc. Neither BCC nor Active.com will act as a third-party or get involved with any transactions with regards to selling or purchasing registration or merchandise.
Q10: What is included with registration fees?
A10: The following is included with you registration:

* Ride support along the route
* After ride refreshments

Q11: Can I purchase a meal Friday night?
A11: No. Due to the popularity of the dinner, we need to know the number of meals prior to Friday night’s activity.
Q12: Should I bring my own food if I have food allergies, or special nutritional needs?
A12: YES. If you know you will need extra supplements or special diet items, please come prepared.

Q14: When do I get my clothing and other items that I ordered from Active.com?
A14: You will get your event t-shirt, and all merchandise that you ordered (including the Friday night meal ticket) at the time you pick up your packet.
Q15: Can I exchange my clothing if I ordered the wrong size?
A15: No.
NOTE: Here are some sizing tips: The traditional fit t-shirt runs true to size (order what you regularly wear in a women’s T-shirt) The Junior Fitted Silhouette t-shirt is more contoured and it is strongly recommended that you order one to two sizes bigger than your normal size which will still give you a very form fitting t-shirt. The Jr. Fitted Silhouette t-shirt is very popular so order early.

Please take your time and enjoy your ride however the course does close at 6pm. If you are still on the course at this time, you will be picked up and sagged to the finish.
Q19: What options for overnight accommodations do I have?
A19: There are several motels and campgrounds in the Cache Valley area (Wellsville, Logan, Brigham City, etc). Contact your favorite hotel/motel campground chain for reservations or go to www.tourcachevalley.com for a list of some of the area’s hotels/motels and campgrounds. Hotels, motels and campgrounds fill up quickly for this event. We suggest you make your reservations as soon as possible.
Q20: What equipment will I need?
A20: To have a safe and enjoyable ride you should bring, at minimum:
* Hard shell or ANSI/SNEL approved helmet.
* A road (or mountain) bike in GOOD working order. Please prepare your bike or ask your local bike shop to give it a once-over before you arrive.
* Clothing appropriate for the weather and riding conditions. Although we’ve been lucky most years with good weather, last year we had rain. Two water bottles or a “bladder bag”.
* Sunscreen and lip balm.
Q21: What equipment should I leave at home?
A21: For your personal safety, and the safety of others, leave your headphones, ear buds, tape players or any other listening devices home.
THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT AND WILL BE ENFORCED BY ON-COURSE RIDE MARSHALLS. If these are used, Ride Marshall’s will be instructed to ask you to leave the course.
Q22: What kind of weather should I expect?
A22: Most years we have had lovely weather, with clear skies and temperatures in the 70’s — 80’s; however, it can rain. Please come prepared for sunshine or rain.
Q23: Will there be road support on the course and what can I expect at rest stops?
A23: Yes, we do provided support but we recommend that you carry a tire patch kit or spare tube and frame pump (at a minimum) as well as two water bottles. There are well-stocked rest stops throughout the route. Stops include water, glycogen replacement drinks, carb replacement (e.g. fruit, crackers, nutrition bars, candy, etc.) Lunch includes the same along with sandwiches and chips.
Q24: What if I registered to ride a specific distance and I later change my mind?
A24: This is no problem but you must notify us at registration so you can have the proper color bib tag.
Q25: What is the drop dead deadline for ordering jerseys?
A25: March 22nd for guaranteed delivery. Jerseys will be assigned on a first come first serve system after the deadline from whatever we have left in stock. A reorder will be placed after the ride and mailed to you the end of August. Socks, hats, boleros and hoodies will be assigned on a first come first serve basis. No reorders on socks and hats, boleros and hoodies.
Q26: Can my family or friends join me at any of the events?
